Details on each model:

Bandit:

The Bandit is our entry level tournament quality horseshoe and like every other Thoroughbred shoe, it is jam packed with unique features.  It is modeled after one of the most famous forged shoes of all time, the old Ohio "O".  Until recently, we had it in the Imperial line of shoes and there it was called the "Classic" and for good reason.  It has always been one of those shoes that throws equally well for turn or flip players, making it a classic choice for the last 60 years!  If you hold the Bandit on the side blade for one turn or another, the first thing you will notice is that it has the longest and straightest blades of any shoe out there.  There is plenty of room to adjust your grip up or down to control the amount of turn on the shoe... something turn players love!  The very low and contoured tips are also perfect for those who like to turn the shoe holding it right out on the tip of the blade.  When it comes to the flip pitch, this shoe rocks!  It has a low thumb cleat in the back but it has just enough of a lip to give you a good flip.  The finger grooves help you find and keep the shoe centered during the delivery, giving a nice clean flip every time.  The slightly pointed ringer break knocks those dead center hits a bit off center so they catch the hook rather than jump straight back off the stake... Nice!  All in all, this is a great shoe and when you look at those prices, well, it's easy to see why it's been so loved for so long amongst horseshoe pitchers nationwide.

Cobra:

The Cobra Horseshoe was developed to compete with the Diamond Tournament Horseshoe... It's shape is very similar to the DTS and it's price is even better.  But with the Cobra, you get much more than what Diamond gave you in a pair of horseshoes.  The Cobra is offered in two colors, versus just one for the DTS.  Also, all Cobras are match weighted so that you always get an exact matched pair, which was not the case with the DTS.  Plus, the Cobra has rounded edges, allowing for easier handling and a smoother release.  It's a superior shoe for an even better price!  This is probably the best value of all the shoes we offer.

Pony (light):

The Pony horseshoe is unique on the pro tournament circuit. It is the only pro style horseshoe that is made lighter without losing the great balance and design features of the professional horseshoe.  This is a full size horseshoe that is modeled after the Ted Allen style shoe. The main difference is that it is made from a special composition of metals that allow it to be the same size but lighter in weight. It also has improved hooks over the old Ted Allen shoe. The weight of this shoe is about 2lbs. 5 oz. compared to the average weight of tournament shoes of 2 lbs. 8 oz. to 2lbs. 10 oz.

GXL (Extra-Light):

This is an awesome addition to our offering...  It is the lightest weight full size shoe available!  It is under two pounds!  It weighs in at about 1 pound 14 ounces... As you can see, the GXL design is based on that of one of our most popular horseshoes... the Glory Horseshoe.  It is basically a thin version of the Glory shoe.  We call this one a feather-light shoe compared to the others, including the PONY!  There has been a demand for a shoe like this for quite some time and after extensive development, we're finally able to offer this shoe.  The initial idea of this shoe was to have something for young kids to learn the game.  But since we've begun sales of the shoe, we seem to be selling more to adults than kids!  It's very popular amongst elder pitchers (both men and women), especially those who are having trouble throwing the full distance of 40 feet.
