The Pony horseshoe is unique on the pro tournament circuit. It is the only pro style horseshoe that is made lighter without losing the great balance and design features of the professional horseshoe. 
This is a full size horseshoe that is modeled after the Ted Allen style shoe. The main difference is that it is made from a special composition of metals that allow it to be the same size but lighter in weight. It also has improved hooks over the old Ted Allen shoe. The weight of this shoe is about 2lbs. 5 oz. compared to the average weight of tournament shoes of 2 lbs. 8 oz. to 2lbs. 10 oz.
This pair is brand new and sent direct from the manufacturer. This lighter weight gives the serious player another tool to improve pitching. It also gives the older player a chance to keep playing even after the stake seems a little too far away. Lets not forget the ladies and children that can benefit from an easier grip and swing. There are many people that will improve their game dramatically just by switching to these slightly lighter shoes. Remember that you don't lose anything in balance or design. These shoes are match weighted just like the other Thoroughbreds. A heavier shoe does bounce less and may stay on the stake slightly better because of that but this shoe has all the stake grabbing design features of the top shoes. This is not some inferior children's toy version; these are serious horseshoes that are used in the highest levels of competition.

We wanted to make a professional styled light weight shoe-- one that stays on as well as the other Thoroughbred Pitching Shoes.  We think we've hit it just right with this shoe.  It's a blend of a classic style shoe with the advanced hooks and points that make Thoroughbreds stand out from all others.   The above images are actual photos of our master model of this shoe.    

 These shoes have constant availability.  They are only available in the light weight (ranging between 2 lbs. 4 oz. and 2 lbs. 6 oz.).

The edges of each shoe are smooth and nicely rounded, allowing the shoe to "pull" out of your hand with ease.  This also helps reduce fatigue and blistering, which is common when using sharper edged shoes.
